Lingua A true multilingual website

A true multilingual website

Is there a way to create a true multlingual website using Joomla? Yes there is. One good way is using JoomFish. There's only one thing which prevents me from using JoomFish. I don't understand a bit of how to use it.

I've read a lot of items on the site of JoomFish but still I'm not convinced it can be something for me....or better something for my future clients.

I've found a module which looked very promising; M17n. This was just what I was looking for. Language parameters can be added to menu items and the site is being translated in the desired language.... Only thing is...there is no support towards articles and so on. Here the quest starts.

Beta Patch PHP5.3.x

It seems the current version of Multilang M17n is not performing under PHP5.3.x as it should.

Now under testing on the test-server of g17l.com is the b├ęta-patch. It looks it does the trick allright. Therefore this patch is published to enable users to test the patch also..

Please return your comments. If the experience of the users is positive the patch will be incorporated in the normal stable install version.

How it works?

Just download the patch, copy-paste it to your mod-mainmenu folder using ftp... this should do the trick. (of course you need to have the extension installed first...:) )
